We like them in the same way that we like pretty curtain material.这里that引导的是定语从句，但是我看从句里没有缺成分，不应该是同位语吗
学习学习！ 我个人理解“we like pretty curtain material‘ 这句话看起来不缺成分，实际上它省略了几个单词：
we like pretty curtain material the same with
经典的同位语应该类似于The news that l have passed the math exam is true
这里的l have passed the math exam is true就是the news。

还查到一种说法，先行词是the way，关系词可以省略，也可以in which或者that 是定语从句没问题，the way属于比较特殊的先行词，在定语从句讲解中，是特殊单列的一种情况，后面用关系词用that/in which或者省略。 本帖最后由 觅己 于 2020-12-10 18:33 编辑
我认为“we like pretty curtain material”是修饰“the way”的，原句的意思是“我们以喜欢...一样的方式喜欢...”，可见that后面那句话是修饰the way，当作定语从句是对的。如果说从句中少了什么成份，应该是少了”in that way"，完整应该是we like pretty curtain material in that way. 它表达的不是我们喜欢漂亮窗帘布料这个事实，而是我们喜欢漂亮窗帘布料的“方式”。
如果句子是It's a fact that we like pretty curtain material，那么that引导的就是同位语从句，不是修饰作用，而是个同位语。 高手来了: that 引导的定语从句，that等同于in which,修饰先行词way,在定语从句中做方式状语。 小鱼下山 发表于 2020-12-10 18:29

the same way in which...应该不符合习惯用语，一般是that或as。我网上查到的：
the same可以表示同一个，也可以表示相同的但不是同一个。例如：
He is using the same pen as I lost yesterday. 他用的笔和我昨天丢的笔是一样的。（但不是我丢的那支笔。）
He is using the same pen that I lost yesterday. 他用的是我昨天丢的那支笔。
但如果the same后的名词为抽象名词，则同一个和相同的这二个意义就重叠了，此时既可以用as, 也可以用that引导从句，意思基本相同。
He will solve the problem in the same way as/that I did.
在这个句子中，同一个方法，同一种方法，相同的方法在意义上是没有差别的。所以as和that都可以用，意义没有多少差别。（尽管as多少带有比较的意味）。
此时that为关系副词，在从句中作方式状语，非正式语体常省略关系副词that。
关系代词that在限制性定语从句中作表语可以省略。
